The FAA has implemented a gate hold and taxi delay program for IAH. Delays are currently reported to average between 60-90 minutes. This is due to severe thunderstorms in northern and eastern Texas (a tornado warning has also been issued for eastern Texas). Be prepared for re-routes around these weather cells also.
