Use Taxis/Transportation Update/Tip
Most people are unaware that you can take the Metra to O'Hare. The North Central line goes to O'Hare (http://metrarail.com/Sched/ncs/ncs.shtml). Once you get off the train, there is a bus that takes you to the terminal train. From Chicago, the train takes 32 minutes. I allow an hour from downtown to the gate. This is a reliable, cheap way to get to the airport if your schedule corresponds to the train times. I recommend it for people who prefer to use public transportation over a cab.
