terminal 3 is horrible if you're travelling after the height of business hours, so roughly 8pm or later, i'd guess (my flight was at 9:45pm CST departing).
all but one of the security lines are closed after-hours, and there's no signs to tell you which one is open. when you use the kiosks for tickets, turn right and go to the end of the terminal. that's the only security line that's open at this time of the evening
