Use Taxis/Transportation Update/Tip
If you are in the city and need to get to the airport, your best route is to probably take the train. Unless you are in a rush or have a lot of luggage, this is the cheapest way to go and doesn't take too long. Take the A train to Far Rockaway and then get the AirTrain from there. It only cost about $6.00 total, instead of at least $45 for a cab. You can also use a bus service (New York Airport Service Express Bus), which is $13 per way and takes 45 min to an hour.
